The legendary American poet, painter and writer who has influenced two generations of artists  recorded this album based on his texts back in 1986, shortly before his death.

After a brief involvement with the Surrealists, Gysin was one of the first anglo-saxons who moved to Morocco in the early Fifties. He became  a close friend of William Burroughs’, and invented the cut-up technique, which was largely used by the author of “The Naked Lunch” throughout his work.

His fertile mind and wide range of original ideas were a source of inspiration for artists of the Beat Generation in Paris, as well as to innovative artists and performers such as David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Throbbing Gristle,Keith Haring,  Laurie Anderson and many more.
