Recorded in 1988, the follow-up to "Commercial Suicide" featured once again the winning team of Colin Newman, composer John Bonnar, Minimal Compact’s Malka Spigel and engineer/producer Gilles Martin, this time with guests such as Wire's Robert Gotobed, Tuxedomoon's Luc van Lieshout, and Marc Hollander. The mood is similar to that of "Commercial Suicide", but this album marks Colin's first extensive exploration of digital technology and programming. High points of the album include near-perfect pop tunes such as "Round and Round" and "Better Later Than Never", with its typically cryptic Newman lyrics, and classic fade out on a sumptuous horn arrangement.
