Konono No.1's "Congotronics" album introduced the world to the strange and spectacular electro-traditional mixtures which are being concocted in the suburbs of Kinshasa, Congo. “Konono meets Batida”, the legendary Congolese band’s new album, was recorded in Lisbon in collaboration with acclaimed Angolan/Portuguese artist Batida and jointly produced with Vincent Kenis (the producer of all the band’s albums).
The album is due for release in March 2016.
