CIBELLE : on tour in the USA with COCOROSIE!

Having dazzled Europe with her riotous "Las Vênus Resort Palace Hotel" live show, Cibelle now heads out to the States

for a string of special solo dates with her colourfully provocative sisters-in-arms CocoRosie (who also invited Konono No.1 to play and collaborate with them in Paris recently).

The "Sonjaraoke" show hits six cities Stateside, beginning with Seattle on June 25. Full dates can be found here

Meanwhile a new digital single is on the way in early August. Taken from the new album, "The Gun and The Knife" is a haunting duet between Cibelle and Sam Genders from Tunng, wherein the two play lovers serenading their own impending (and self-imposed) doom across darkly beautiful sonic folk plains. The b-side finds Cibelle's breezy Ursula Andress cover ‘Underneath The Mango Tree’ beefed up with stuttering beats and eerie electronic wails by Aaron Pfenning of New York synth-pop troupe Chairlift.
